Family Note
Marinate the ribs overnight when there is time. The flavor gets deeper and the meat stays tender.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds flanken-cut short ribs
- 1/2 cup shoyu
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 green onions, chopped
Directions
- Mix shoyu, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and green onions.
- Add short ribs and marinate at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook ribs 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Rest briefly, then serve with rice and vegetables.
